A lifetime committment to your best friend..complete and total sharing with the one person who you will always be able to count on no matter what. Good times, bad times, hard times, fun times. Constant discovery and growing. The joy and heartache of bringing a new life into the world (when both are ready to do that) love you both!
well well well.... is she really thinking about it??? is she!!! Oh you will love it.. really the best thing to people can have together..forever.. fun fun times together and not so fun times together, but so worth it.. So lets get this party started!!!!! GO KERRI GO AARON!! can't wait to see you in a dress!! wow and a wedding dress at that.. guess who this is!!!
Yikes...this anonymous comment has me guessing. Could be Meg, Jaime, Amy...but then again, could be Mom, ML, Janet, Jeanne...reveal your identity and I may share! This is fun!
hello there again, well lets here from you now... what does it mean to you and why do you ask? Are ya thinking about it?? A LOT? All the time.. are ya scared of the commitment? ......... we are waiting....
Marriage is wonderful...most of the time..no really...I mean almost all the time. Think about it.... you are living with your best friend, confidant, lover...someone who knows you better than anyone else and who you know better than anyone else (at least that's how it is for me). I suppose you could argue that you can have everything I just described without marriage but then I look at that as hedging your bet---I mean, if you are ready to commit to one fabulous person why not do it legally? And if you are considering having a family well then I think marriage of committed parents is an essential contributing factor to well-adjusted children--but I digress....Marriage is a lifetime opportunity to share everything with the one you love and don't underestimate the fun of a huge party (should you choose to have a wedding where you invite just about everybody) surrounded by everyone who loves you and wishes only the best for you and your mate. I highly recommend it!!
Kerri Kerri Kerri.... what can anyone person tell you that you don't already know!!!! Really, you travel the world together and come home with such wonderful animated stories of your adventures. You two have seen more in one life time then most. The host of people that have taken you into there lives to share there life with you. I think you know the answer... So lets here from you.. enough of this ..
What does Aaron think about all of this? Aaron should have a blog also. That way we could hear from him. Marriage is a wonderful institution. It can take a lot of work, but neither one of you is afraid of that. It has many advantages that merely living together does not have. For instance, you can file a joint income tax return. You can also tell in-law jokes. Think about it.
Actually, be careful of Anon's advice---filing a joint return actually cost's you more--hence the well known "marriage tax" that many joint filers feel is unjust. So I just wanted to clarify that that is not necessarily a "pro" for marriage.
Hey what happened to your reply with your analogy to letters on the keyboard??? I wanted to re-read that and try to understand what was going on in your head....it was thought provoking and certainly a unique essay on marriage...bring it back...or if you won't do that then take another shot and telling us your thoughts again....I sense some heavy discussions have been held and some heavy thinking...my advice is to not overthink it....don't let the unknown scare you..take the plunge...look at the many examples you have surrounding you and your life and Aaron's too....we all have doubts about our decisions in life..all decisions but as the famous saying goes..."It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" so don't find yourself 10-15 years from now saying, what was I thinking back then--why did I wait or hesistate....jump in the water is fine!!!

Yikes, imagine the in-law jokes that Aaron could spout...it is endless, scaringly endless! Good tip, anony.
